How you can get involved
The North West Mentor Scheme for Mental Health Service Users and Carers offers mentor training to service users and carers who are in advisory or roles of responsibility - on Boards, panels, in meetings, groups and committees, etc.
The accessible and culturally relevant training provides the core skills and knowledge to be able to mentor other service users and carers who are new in an advisory role, or are thinking about getting involved in one. .The Mentor will then be ‘matched’ (linked up) with another service user or carer with less experience, or new in the role. They will be offered on-going support and guidancethrough involvement in a Mentor Network and by a Mentor Advisor.
