It’s a great way to get active, help out your local community and have some fun with new friends.

Wednesday1.30pm – 3.30pm The Bread and Butter Thing– is at Broomwood Wellbeing Centre every Wednesday afternoon, providing weekly groceries at a low price. On Mondays you will be sent a text asking if you want food that week. if you reply saying “YES” then you will be texted with instructions on Tuesdays.

Wednesday6.30pm – 8.30pmKarate– Session happen every Wednesday. Each session costs £6.50 per person. There is a discount available for group bookings.

Thursday11am – 1pmMindfulness and Managing Stress sessions– The Counselling and Family Centre, Altrincham are running this group on Thursdays at Broomwood Community Wellbeing Centre. Hosted by Jim, who has many years of experience as a therapist, we will explore your own personal stress and use mindfulness as one of the tools to navigate your stress in a safe environment.
We will build on that work over a number of weeks exploring techniques to improve wellbeing.

Amildham aims at providing opportunities for the Tamil Communities living in the United Kingdom as well as others interested in learning Tamil and acquiring knowledge of the history, arts, literature and culture of the Tamils.

VariousTimperley Amateur Boxing Club– provides a range of services that promote health wellbeing and fitness for all. Sessions run for children aged 8-18 for adults and for women only. The club’s ethos is about improving lives in the community and has been nominated for Trafford Sports Club of the Year in 2015. One of the club’s young members won a Physical Activity award in 2015. Monday – Friday10:00am-2:00pmFoodbank Vouchers – The Trussell Trust runs a network of over 420 foodbanks, which work out of more than 1,200 centres across the UK and provide emergency food to people during crisis situations such as redundancy, benefit delays or receiving an unexpected bill. Here at the Broomwood CWC we can issue foodbank e-vouchers for parcels containing a minimum of three days’ nutritionally balanced food. We issue foodbank vouchers with appropriate discretion, and can discuss further support available at the centre. Call us on 0161 980 0720 between 10am-2pm, Monday to Friday, and we’ll arrange to issue a voucher. If you aren’t able to call, come into the centre.
