Jobcentre Plus

Introduction

Friendly individual support on employment opportunities and benefits advice.

Jobcentre Plus are based with blueSCI at Broome House and in partnership with blueSCI can help individuals access a range of services and support. At reception you can book an appointment to see an advisor.


 
Jobcentre Plus services includes

• Disability Employment Advisers/Incapacity Benefit Advisers. This will help you prepare for, find and
keep paid work and provide advice on extra money that may be available when starting work.

• New Deal for Disabled People (NDDP) will support people on disability or health related benefits who want
to work, Working with employers to support individuals during your first six months of work.

• Work Preparation provides opportunity for Individuals to try out work with an employer without the risk of
losing benefits.

• Support to complete Working Tax Credit application forms and In work benefit calculations to give individuals
an idea of how much can be earned

• Information about Housing Benefit, council Tax Benefit and other financial and practical support available.

• Individually tailored support through Workstep to help individuals achieve full potential in the workplace.
