Volunteer Opportunities

blueSCI supports people in Trafford to recover their mental well-being, through creative and social opportunities.

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals with excellent people skills who are able to give some of their time to engage with individuals who access our service for the first time.

This will require individuals to meet and greet, give a tour of the blueSCI service giving an overview of the range of activities and opportunities available. Supporting and empowering individuals to establish their goals and aspirations and creating a ‘can do’ culture. We offer:

  • Induction to the service and to the role of Volunteer Support Worker
  • Monthly supervision
  • Weekly group support
  • Training and development opportunities

Volunteer Secretary required for Seed Studios

We are looking for an enthusiastic Secretary to carry out administrative duties for our music studios (Seed Studios). The individual will be required to fulfill the following functions:

  • Take minutes of meetings (every alternate Tuesday 1pm-3pm)
  • Type minutes
  • Sort small amount of mail
  • Maintain record of members and their use of the studio
  • Any general administrative duties as required

Previous experience in administration and computers would be an advantage but not necessary - just a willingness to learn. Training and support will be given. No musical experience necessary.

Seed Studios is run by a friendly group of members and they would really appreciate some help.
