Art Therapy sessions

Volunteer Avril Neagle is a qualified Art Therapist who delivers sessions at blueSCI.

Art Therapy is all about creativity and self expression through the use of art. Some people find it hard to talk about or communicate problems, worries or confusing feelings so art therapy is an excellent way of helping people to communicate in a healthier way.

As well as being fun and sociable, the sessions are an opportunity to explore your artistic ability and try out some creative techniques which produce some wonderful results! Art Therapy usually takes place in a group or in one to one sessions. The skill of the therapist is to allow individuals reach a better understanding of themselves and how they relate to each other.
