Stretford Women’s Group
Aim:
through a weekly facilitated group, to support and empower survivors of domestic violence.
Objectives:
To have a safe, counsellor facilitated group to explore areas and impact of abuse. To talk and be heard To develop esteem through learning to identify and
check in with feelings, listen to and support others, offer and receive feedback/praise. To develop: confidence through the above and in exploring practical considerations like social and domestic skills, education, employment and training. Identify and celebrate achievement, Access childcare
These will be achieved through a facilitated group which will be topic led once a month (content decided by the members). Women can feel more confident to live in the REAL world where abuse is no longer occupying a large percentage of their time, thoughts, energy. Women will have 2 people they can consider a friend.
